O.K. fans... the new Carol Clerk book "The Saga of Hawkwind" has a chapter about the Babysitters as support.. It was just as exciting as when we covered the Little Angels in Cow shit, and put Horse manure in their managers car.... It is out in the middle of September. I'll be buying one.. Google seems to have lots of info on where to get it cheap!!!

yup.."IDOLS HIT ANGELS WITH DIRTY FAECES" was the headline... Daniele, do you remember stopping off at the farm to buy the shit? We swapped it for an Idols tee-shirt. On arrival at the gig we kept two sacks of it on the radiators to keep it nice and SSSssTINKIN'. I remember standing in the wings with this bag of shite..pissing myself laughing...
Oh happy days....

Good job Carol Clerk was on tour with us and sold the story to the music papers (I still have the article with that headline!)... otherwise nobody would have believed it had actually happened... I doubt it myself sometimes - and I was there!!!
It's funny one my clearest memories of the Idols days/daze is actually the same mental picture you recalled: you waiting in the wings with this massive bag of shit in your hand... my number one rock'n'roll moment of all time, no contest!!!
It was rather naughty I s'pose....Do you remember the Mayors toilet that we filled as well. I'd love to have seen his face on the Monday morning.. Christ,.. I hope he had important guests
